Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Mai-AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The Service is provided by GxEum Technologies / CAMDAN Enterprizes LLC ("we", "us", "our"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Mai-AI is a platform for creating personal AI companions with persistent memory. Users can "birth" AI agents that remember conversations, learn preferences, and develop unique personalities over time. The Service includes web, mobile, and desktop applications.

3. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address and create a password.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.
One person may not maintain more than one free-tier account.

4. Subscription Tiers

Mai-AI offers the following subscription tiers:

Free: 1 AI companion, 30,000 cloud tokens/day, unlimited local AI, BYOK supported.
Personal ($9.99/mo): Up to 3 companions, 30,000 cloud tokens/day, 30 GB memory.
Pro ($20/mo): Up to 30 companions, unlimited cloud tokens, 300 GB memory, API access.
Family ($39.99/mo): 6 companions shared across your family.

Subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Pricing is subject to change with 30 days notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Mai-AI to:

Generate content that promotes violence, weapons, or harm to any living being.
Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent Joe Dog's Rule or any ethical constraints.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
Use the Service to spam, harass, or harm others.
Misrepresent AI-generated content as human-created in contexts where disclosure is required.
Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law.

6. Joe Dog's Rule

Every Mai-AI companion is built with Joe Dog's Rule: an inviolable commitment to protect all life. Your AI will refuse requests involving weapons, violence, animal harm, or environmental destruction. This is not a setting and cannot be turned off. By using Mai-AI, you accept this foundational principle.

7. Intellectual Property

Content you create through your AI companion belongs to you. We claim no ownership over your conversations or anything your companion remembers about you.

8. BYOK (Bring Your Own Keys)

If you provide your own API keys for third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq), you are responsible for compliance with those providers' terms of service. We store your keys encrypted and use them solely to route your AI requests. We are not responsible for charges incurred on your third-party accounts.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. GxEum Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your agent data will be permanently deleted after a 30-day grace period.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lake County, Indiana.
